Personalized Bookmark Activity

Materials

〈White printer, card stock, or construction paper

〈Scissors

〈Colored Pencils, markers, crayons, etc.

〈Pencil with eraser

〈Thick & thin black markers

〈Ruler

Step One

Get a sheet of white paper. You can use printer paper, cardstock, or construction paper. Use a ruler and pencil to measure a rectangle that is 7 inches long and 2 inches wide, then use scissors to cut it out.

Step Two

Using a pencil, write out your name in really big stick letters – make sure to take up the whole front of your bookmark.

Step Three

In the empty spaces between letters, use your pencil to create fun designs like wavy lines, swirls, circles, dashes, etc.

Step Four

When you are happy with your work, trace your name with a thick marker. Then, trace each of your designs with a thin marker.

Step Five

Get out your colored pencils, crayons, or markers to color in your designs. Now you’re all done!
