Instructions

1. Get your piece of paper. This can be any size of paper. We used an 8.5 inch x 11 inch piece. 

2. Using your pencil, draw two trees with swirling branches on your paper. You don’t want them to be too close together. 

3. To fill in the tree trunk and branches, we used colored markers on our example, but you can use crayons or colored pencils, even paint if you have it.

Use brown as a base color to make wispy lines all over your tree, on the trunk and branches. Once you’re done with brown, continue making wispy lines with dark, cool colors like purple, blue, and green. 

4. After you have colored in your tree, grab a light brown or tan color. Make swirls all over the background or white space that you have left. 

5. Gather the following colors in your drawing materials:

〈Red 〈Brown

〈Green 〈Maroon

〈Peach

6. Using your fall colors, draw all different sized and colored circles around the limbs of your trees. Outline them in a different color. You can create combinations like brown, red, and orange or yellow, green, and brown. These are meant to mimic the changing fall colors of leaves.
