Summertime arts and crafts are so much fun. They are bright and full of color, and this adorable Salt Painting craft is very easy, a little messy but a whole lot of fun! And the best part, the weather is beautiful so your kids can leave the mess outside. Kids can choose any design they prefer based on their personal interests and imagination.
What You Will Need:
›› Washable Glue
›› Card Stock Paper (your choice of color)
›› Paint Brush
›› Liquid Watercolors (may also use food coloring mixed with water)
›› Salt
How to Make:
›› Use glue to squeeze designs onto paper (kids may lightly trace their design first before adding glue if they prefer).
›› Pour salt onto glue design until completely covered and then remove excess salt.
›› Dip paint brush into watercolor/food coloring mixture and begin lightly “painting” over the salt design. The paint will move around the design, allowing different paint colors to mix together.
›› Allow to dry and hang for all to see!
