Watermelon Collage Activity

Materials:

›› Glue

›› Paper

›› Scissors

›› Red, Pink, and green tissue paper and/or magazine cutouts

›› Black paper/magazine cutouts (for seeds) 

Step 1:

Get a sheet of printer paper. Fold it in half, hamburger style.

Step 2:

Once it’s folded in half, use scissors to cut out a semi-circle shape, with the two folds still attached. Like a card.

Step 3:

Cut or tear out pieces of red or pink tissue paper or magazine pieces. Glue these to the inside portion of your paper.

Step 4:

After the whole inside is covered in your red or pink paper scraps, use your black paper to cut out watermelon seeds – start gluing these to the inside to make your art look like a slice of watermelon.

Step 5:

Cut or tear out pieces of green tissue or magazine scraps to the both outside pieces of your paper. Glue these down. Now you’re all done. Enjoy your colorful collage!
